Most Beautiful Water Fountains Around the World

There are many beautiful water fountains around the world, from the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas to the old fountains of Rome. Some fountains are very old, yet some are new and using the latest in high technology. Here are 5 fountains, that millions of people travel each year to go see.

1. Banpo Bridge Fountain, Seoul, South Korea

The Banpo Bridge in Seoul, South Korea just got a major facelift in the form of a 10,000-nozzle fountain that runs all the way along both its sides. They were just installed last month, but already the bridge has turned into a major tourist attraction. Which is understandable, as I’ve certainly never driven over a bridge that’s pumping out 190 tons of water per minute. And since it’s just pulling up water from the river below, it’s nice and eco-friendly. Hit the jump for a video of this awesome bridge in action.

2. Swarovski Fountain, Austria

The Swarovski Kristallwelten, or Swarovski Crystal World, sits in the Austrian Tyrol like a jewel in a ring. If it looks like a fortress, that’s no accident: In 1892, firm owner Daniel Swarovski shifted the entire company out of Bohemia (today’s Czech Republic) to the wild & woolly Tyrol so that the tools and methods of the secretive company would remain firmly under wraps.

3.Buckingham Fountain, Chicago

Buckingham Fountain, officially known as the ‘Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain’ is one of Chicago’s most popular landmarks. The fountain is located in Grant Park at the center of a formally laid out garden.

4. Scott Fountain, Belle Isle

Located on Belle Isle, this spectacular fountain is made of Italian white marble and was named for James Scott, who bequeathed the funds for its construction. The fountain is a complicated series of bowls, basins, and spouts, along with lionesses, turtles, dolphins, Neptunes, and animal horns gracefully spewing streams of water.

5. Floating Fountains, Osaka, Japan

Nine floating Fountains” is Isamu Noguchi last work for the world expo in Osaka, japan. Noguchi took this water tap illusion one step further and developed nine “floating” fountains for the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. Incredible fountains that looks like they are flying.
